Press Tab to Lock Ends.
This will either be the dumbest blog post you’ve ever read, or one of the most ingenius, depending on your knowledge of……cellophane boxes! That’s right. Those oblong dispensers of cellophane or aluminum foil contain a secret which has eluded me my entire adult life.
Tell me, is it me, or did you already know about this?
I owe this new knowledge to my brother-in-law, Harlan, who was here last week for Thanksgiving. When he saw me in the kitchen fumbling with the Saran Wrap, he said, “You know, there is a way to keep the roll from popping out of the box every time you go to use it.”
Really?
Yes, really, and the answer is written on the end of the box, as Harlan pointed out. “Press Tab to Lock Ends,” it says, or “Press to Secure Roll.”

Holy cow!
All these years of living, all this education, and I had no idea such technology existed! My question is, am I the only one who didn’t know? Please enter your answer in the poll to the right.
Feel free to let me down easy!

NO worries…this is NEWS to me! WOW the things you learn on blogs………:)
Thanks for the tip and the comments on my blog….I do think you should adopt me! Can you feed me too?
Sorry Jess, I can barely afford my own kids. Thanks for the comment!
You know, I read this the other day and did not comment. Answered the poll and must have forgotten…busy…who knows!?
This is news worthy! I’m thinking a story should be done on this topic, widely broadcasted as only a journalist can do.
I’m not kidding! I did NOT know this. It’s a great help.
Thanks.
You put it best: “Holy cow!” I never knew that! I just went downstairs to lock down the Reynolds wrap. Thank you.
Thanks for the comment, Dave. As soon as I learned this trick, I locked every roll of everything we have. Can wait for a roll to run out so I can lock some more!
WOW! I never knew this. It’s amazing what you can learn at 11;30 on a Sunday night surfing the internet. My parents will be so proud – send me to college and yet I learn the important stuff from blogging!
